  • Part of team chosen by Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to be part of a team to travel to Mexico in January as part of a grant given by the National Endowment for the Arts for The Big Read 2011,
  • Commendation from Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villarigosa,
  • Commendation from California Senate for Community Service,
  • Commendation from City Councilman Dennis P. Zine for Community Service,
  • Represented the United States as a gallery artist for the Inauguration of President Fox in Cabo San Lucas Baja California , Mexico.
  • Chairman of the Aritsts Committee for the Pasadena Chalk Festival 1914-2007,
  • Art Director Dia de los Muerto Festival, Canoga Park 2000-2013,
  • Visiting Professor at Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo in Cultural Studies 2012-present,
  • Advisory Committee San Fernando Valley Arts and Cultural Center.

Recent Projects

Peace in America Historical Monument – A project independently designed. I took it to Congressman Tony Cardenas, who is working with Senator Hertzberg to make this a reality. Things are in the Works concerning construction, hiring of additional artists, and green engineering. Projected cost for this project: $20,000,000. To be completed by 2016.

San Fernando Health Center, San Fernando, CA - Commission to create Lobby mural and additional paintings for the lobby of the center. Budget to be determined. No completion date yet.
