Relevant Experience and Accomplishments
- Chosen as one of the 30 Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles’ Public Artists to serve from 2008-2011.
- Recently chosen by Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to be part of a team to travel to Mexico in January as part of a grant given by the National Endowment for the Arts
- Commendation from Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villarigosa, for Community Service.
- Commendation from California Senate for Community Service.
- Commendation from City Councilman Dennis P. Zine for Community Service.
- Represented the United States as a gallery artist for the Inauguration of President Fox in Mexico.
- I have a non-profit that supports a school for the developmentally disabled in Taxco, Mexico. I support this school through donations, with no government contribution. I also travel there twice a year to conduct workshops with the children who range in age from 40 days to 30 years.
