1st Edition Gibson Les Paul Sculpture

Juliana Martinez was commissioned by the City of Los Angeles to be one of 26 artists to decorate a ten-foot fiberglass Gibson Les Paul sculpture to commemorate the Beautification of West Hollywood in 2010. The ceramic tile and beaded guitar sat just outside of The Standard Hotel off Sunset Boulevard for approximately six months before getting the highest bid at $8,750.00 when auctioned off this past December 2011.

Juliana’s “Summer of Love” Gibson celebrates the ’60s counterculture movement on The Sunset Strip. It now lives in China.
