Accomplishments

Juliana Martinez feels blessed to be able to make art for a living. She has been commissioned by the City of Los Angeles to decorate areas of the city, to beautify Sunset Boulevard with two sculptures, and has several commendations from state officials, including but not limited to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villarigosa.

The 40 ft. wall mural in the Children’s Garden at 29th Street Crossing is her pride and joy.

From Juliana’s tumblr page about the project:

29th Street Crossings has really turned out to be beautiful place. Even though it’s an affordable housing project you can see UHC’s attention to detail. The quality of the materials throughout the development is really quite remarkable. If I were a rich person I would want to live there. They have a deep understanding of the fact that real people are going to live there, and I think they tried to create a comfortable and attractive atmosphere the developer, themselves, would be happy to live in.

Juliana doesn’t leave the decorating to city projects, either. From her Google Sites page:

“Landing on the stairs in my home”

“Stairs in my home.”

“2nd floor landing in my home. Dog is not glued down.”

And there’s much more to come, so check back often to see the unfolding brilliance if this cherished Los Angelina artist!!
